Happy New Year everyone!
It's year 2010 now, say goodbye to year 2009!
It is the time of the year again, as we sit back and reflect on what we have done throughout the year and look forward to better times ahead with the new year.
I joined my beloved DBU group 6 friends to Genting Highland on the eve of year 2010. As usual, we stayed in Genting First World hotel. Thanks to my dear friend Seah Li for booking the room earlier, otherwise we have no place to rest our butt. Every year at this time, huge number of visitors rushed up the highland just to join the countdown party and fireworks watching! The crowd at Genting for the New Year countdown celebration was MASSIVELY HUGE! But good thing it was only "human jam" and not traffic jam. The traffic was not as bad as we thought but parkings were hard to find and hotels were fully booked. About 10 out of 12 of us shared a single small room. Pity the guys had to sleep on the floor at night because the beds were fully occupied by ladies. While we waiting for the countdown party, we had a warm steamboat dinner in our hotel room. As usual, our lovely grp 6 ladies from PD would always prepare the food for us during our trip. We don't have to worry at all about food, all really thanks to them.
We joined the countdown party held at the main entrance of Genting Casino Hotel. This was my first time ever to attend a countdown party. I never attend any countdown party before because a fren of mine got molested bystranger last time during a cowndown party, so I'm a bit afraid of goin' to such parties. But this time, my baby was there with me, so I'm safe under his protection..haha. He was hugging me from the back all the time makes me feel so secured and protected during the whole celebration time. However, the firework show was such a big disappointment as it was being so foggy the next second right after the fireworks on play. The sky was pretty clear and the weather was so much tempting that we at first thought it would be worthwhile to come all the way up.
After the countdown celebration, we went back to our hotel for exchanging gift activity. We had so much fun joking on people's present and laughing out loudly till get knocked on the door twice by neighbour for being too noisy.
Kelvin and I bought a nice christmas and new year cup. A really special one, when you put hot water in it, beautiful graphics will appear slowly.
And
Xiao Peng was the lucky one who got our present! Haha...hope she likes it!
And Kelvin and I got Ding Dong's present. It was a 'shit'! haha.. A shit shape thing with a handle. Not sure what is it for..when you hit it, a cute funny laughing voice come out. Thank you Ding Dong! I love it!
My baby was too tired to show up.
Anyway, we had a wonderful exchange gift activity!
